Home & Heart Stories

Where Every Story Begins

Home & Heart Stories began in the way so many meaningful things do—quietly, in the middle of real life, as we learned from our children. Parenting is full of joy, but it can also feel heavy and uncertain, and there were times we simply couldn’t find the right words for what our kids were facing or feeling. So we started creating them—soft, simple stories paired with pictures—so families would have a gentle way to talk about the things that are hard to explain.

We pour our hearts into every book we make. We’re intentional about telling stories that reflect many backgrounds, families, and experiences—because we want children to see themselves on the page, and to learn to celebrate one another, too. Above all, we hope our stories help kids feel understood and safe as they navigate big emotions and difficult moments.

Our Heart's Mission

To create warm, inclusive stories that help children understand big feelings and tricky moments—so families can talk, learn, and grow together, and every child feels seen, loved, and never alone.

And for the grown-ups? We’re here with story-time helpers—sweet words, gentle pictures, and little “aha!” moments—to make big talks feel less scary and a lot more like, “Okay… we’ve got this.”

Our Mission

We are dedicated to helping families discover books that resonate with each child’s individual spirit. Our goal is to advocate for diverse and inclusive stories that serve as mirrors and windows for young readers.

By nurturing emotional courage through shared reading, we make each book selection a daily expression of love and a collaborative moment of discovery.

We believe all children should feel recognized, courageous, and understood. Our curated collections serve as a bridge connecting hearts to the world of imagination.
